Earth Hour: an hour that can change decades
Every year, at 8:30 pm on the last Saturday of March, millions of people across the world join in raising awareness of the issues facing our planet.
But Earth Hour is more than just an hour for the planet – it’s a movement for our future. And it’s more than just a symbol of support – it’s a catalyst for urgent change.
Over the years, you’ve switched off your lights at home, turning entire streets, buildings, and city skylines dark – an unmissable sight that drew public attention to nature loss and the climate crisis. This year, we invite you to spread the same message and re-create the same unmissable sight online by taking part in our first-ever Earth Hour Virtual Spotlight. Let’s get the world watching. Let’s get the world talking.
On Saturday the 27th March, Park Mall will switch all their outdoor spotlights to green to show our support for Earth Hour.
You can also get involved at home by:
- Switching off your lights for an hour
- Attend a virtual event. The Earth Hour team have put together a list of 20+ things you can do for a memorable (and impactful) on-the-night experience all from comfort of your home!
- Educate yourself and learn more about nature loss and climate change
- Petition for change! Sign their “Voice for the Planet” petition to let world leaders know that you care about nature and that you demand urgent political action to protect our planet.
