Wendy Wallage will Brave the Shave at Park Mall, Ashford
Local community member, Wendy Wallage, will be braving the shave in support of MacMillan Cancer Support and the Little Princesses Trust on Saturday 11th September from 12pm -1pm. Wendy’s hair will be shaved off at The Little Teapot at Park Mall, Ashford and will be open to the public to come along and support Wendy on this great charity initiative.
Wendy will donate her hair to the Little Princesses Trust to help children and young people deal with the devastating effects of hair loss by helping to create high-quality, real-hair wigs.
Wendy told us about her journey and how she has seen many of her family members battle cancer. Including her mother, who was a cancer survivor but unfortunately her Father, Grandfather and Father-in-law were all tragically lost to this cruel disease.
Wendy has chosen to make a positive difference by showing her support to Macmillan Cancer Support due to the fantastic service she received when they were treating her Father-in-law. Wendy explained that MacMillan helped with her Father-in-Law where the nurses gave her the strength and support to help her through a difficult period.
